History

When Manrique Capriles Group (MC Group) was founded in 1922 by Manrique Capriles and his three sons, the journey towards becoming one of the most prestigious companies on Curaçao and the neighboring islands began. By the late 1940’s, the Manrique Capriles & Sons Company represented well-known companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Parke Davis and Sterling Drug.

As was the tradition in family operated companies at the time, Donald Capriles, Manrique’s oldest son, took over in 1944. Twenty-two years later Donald Capriles hired Bart Moulijn as a sales representative at Manrique Capriles. One year later Donald Capriles’ daughter also joined the company.

After continuing growth Donald converted the family business into a corporation. In 1969, shortly after that Bart Moulijn and Carol Capriles took over this flourishing business. In 2008 Carol Capriles retired. Until this day the growth of this company continues.

“With branches in Aruba, Bonaire, St. Martin and Surinam, the MC Group is a well-established organization that delivers to almost all consumer distribution channels. Our customers value our response and service, while we continuously strive to better satisfy our customers’ needs.”
